My name is Ramesh Ranjan. I was born in Vancouver, B.C. and raised in Richmond, B.C. If there’s one thing I love, its sports. I grew up watching hockey, basketball, football and baseball. I follow these sports at the professional level pretty closely. I played basketball and football and I now play roller hockey. I am an unabashed fan of the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League. I also am a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball. I live and breathe sports.
As much as I am a fan of the games on the ice, court and field, I am just as big a fan of them outside of it. The sports business is a BILLION dollar business. It is grown out of building fanbases and creating experiences that will get people coming back for more. This blog looks at what teams are doing to bring in fans, nurture them as ‘leads’ and customers and how brands grow. Sports marketing is something that I want to be in as a career and so everything I write here is delicately put together with emotion and feeling. I hope you enjoy!
